Fundraise at school
Whatever the age group, there are many ways nurseries, schools and colleges can raise money for BGC.
- Organise an event, such as an 'X Factor' style contest or a variety night.
- Try selling your artwork, holding a talent show, challenging parents or teachers to a sports match, face painting or a sponsored silence.
- If your school has a Charity of the Year, why not see if you can nominate us next year?
- Collect Mobile phones to recycle with us
Fundraise at your club/group/pub
If you are a member of a local organisation, like a Rotary club, Scout group or golf club, then we would love for you to get together with your members and raise money for our projects. Fundraising in your pub can be a great way to get to know your customers better and create a friendly atmosphere.
Local support is absolutely vital if we are to continue supporting our project members. Here are just a few ways that your club or group can help us:
- Organise a fundraising event - how about a fundraising dinner, a trip to the dogs or a race night?
- Ask your members to volunteer their time to help us.
- Get your members sponsored to do something - maybe a sponsored slim or bicycle ride.
- Organise a pub quiz. This is a popular and proven way to raise money for charity. Simply devise a quiz (or get one off the internet), advertise and enjoy an evening of trivia.
- Darts or pool competition. Make it a prize competition and pull in the customers for a small donation to BGC.
- Karaoke or talent night Ask for donations to enter and get the crowd to show their approval in pounds too.
- Football tournament. Arrange a friendly with a rival pub to see who wins on the pitch and on the fundraising card.
