Gone - but not forgotten

Angela Borowski 1962 - 2004

The sad death occurred on the 3rd July 2004 of Angela who was for some years a member of this project both in the Education Department and latterly in the Furniture Department.

Angela was a well-known person within Bedford and the surrounding area she had a keen wit and was always supportive of her friends and other members of the project alike. She wasthe person that everyone turned to in times of trouble or worry.

Angela battled with many health problems but was cheerful and above all a friendly caring person who will be much missed by all of us at BGC, Bedford and not least by Ian her partner of several years.

Love from us all Angela.

John Barfield 1950 - 2004

John had attended BGC for a considerable number of years and had many friends in the project. Those who knew him will appreciate his wicked sense of humour, infectious giggle and charming smile. He was a fun loving man who enjoyed playing practical jokes on his friends and staff. John especially loved cookery classes and outings.

John will be sorely missed and he will always live in our memories and indeed in the many photographs we have of him showing him helping painting our premises before we moved into them, on outings and at our parties - he was always in the thick of things! Gone but definitely will not be forgotten.

Sue

We are very sad to announce the death on Monday 8th May, 2006 of an ex-colleague, supporter and most of all friend to us all.

Sue began working with this project as a volunteer then becoming a member of staff maintaining the housekeeping and working in the furniture department. She was always there to help with all the activities, evening functions and holidays being the first to volunteer. Sue was very well known within Bedford as she helped and drove for a number of Clubs for adults with learning disabilities within the town.

Sue will always be remembered by us as someone who would readily help anyone; she always had a smile on her face and a cigarette in her hand! Our thoughts and love go to her family, especially Stevie Boulger, her son who is a member of our project.
